This is a special invitation to join the founding members of Together Step By Step for a stroll at Sunshine Meadows on Sept. 12. Enjoy walking the trails with friends while raising funds for research and programs for Schizophrenia, followed by outstanding snacks and refreshments. The bus leaves Sunshine Parking lot at 10:00 am for a scenic drive to the lodge at Sunshine Mountain. The hike takes 3.5 to 5.5 hours depending on your leisure. For anyone just wanting to see the views, there is time to look and see, enjoy lunch, and return on an earlier bus. Our scheduled bus returns to the parking lot at 3:30 pm followed by a barbeque at the famous Fairmont Banff Springs,Each participant is required to raise donations of $300 as a registration fee, which includes return bus trip, lunch and barbeque dinner. All funds will go to the Schizophrenia Society of Calgary. "We took our hike yesterday on what must have been one of the most gorgeous days of the year. It was a strange and unique experience to see Sunshine without all the snow we’re used to. In spite of many years of skiing there, we were totally bowled over by the summer scenery, and the parts of the area that we had never seen before, especially those perfect, pristine little lakes and the view from the Simpson viewpoint. Thank you so much for making this available to us."
